Unlike most boat manufacturers, we only manufacture one product. Each skimmer is carefully handcrafted to exacting specifications using the latest in composite fiber technology. The rowing assembly is a weather-resistant alloy rowing rig, custom-designed for optiomal energy efficiency. The result is an elegant and handsome rowing craft that is functional, efficient and suitable fo almost any condition from choppy seas to glassy lakes.

Skimmer Classic

The Skimmer Classic is handcrafted with fiberglass composite hulls, and a micro-sphere core. Having an award winning patented design, the Skimmer Classic is reinforced with three extra layers of carbon in the area connecting the hulls. The hulls are filled with structural closed polyurethane foam for flotation. The center beam has 158 hand machined holes to ensure that the rigging maintains the ultralight weight of the boat. The total weight of the boat with the rigging is 60lbs.

Skimmer Carbon Fiber

The ultimate Skimmer! The Skimmer Carbon Fiber is handcrafted, made of carbon fiber for the entire length of the boat, with a carbon/ honeycomb center support beam. The result... a very light 52lbs that we believe is the lightest, most durable rowing craft in the world. The hulls are filled with structural closed cell polyurethane foam for flotation. The center beam has 158 hand machined holes in its ultralight beam. It is virtually impossible to build a lighter boat having the same strength to weight ratio.
